Kim Schoen brings a conceptually driven approach that connects people with brands in exciting, emotional, and artistic ways. She freelances both as an interim CD for companies who need a strong voice and a strategic mind to lead teams to great executions—and as a creative who can generate big brand ideas under tight timelines within every budget and scope.
Kim began her advertising career with a national campaign for Levi’s: ‘They go on.’ Lenny Kravitz, Little Jimmy Scott, and Quentin Crisp made appearances in the series-like campaign that Rolling Stone Magazine featured in their Best Movies, Music & TV section. Schoen worked on several more award-winning campaigns for Levi’s and Dockers before moving on to Wieden + Kennedy NY. There, she worked on national campaigns for ESPN, Nike, School of Visual Arts and more, winning Cannes Gold Lions, D&AD awards, and One Show Pencils along the way. Her humorous and visually striking work helped build the W+K NY office and was featured in The New York Times, Creativity, Lurzer’s Archive, The Creative Review, Adweek, Adage, One Magazine, and i-D.
Kim has freelanced for agencies such as Mother L.A., Mother NYC, Goodby Silverstein + Partners, Doner, Campbell Ewald, Yard, Area of Expertise, David + Goliath, The Martin Agency, Barton F. Graf, Saatchi, Chandelier, Mullen Lowe, Wieden + Kennedy, Chiat Day, TBWA Media Arts Lab/Apple, Foote Cone + Belding, Partners + Spade, Oberland, and BBH, among others, on major national and international clients across all categories: Adidas, Apple, Athleta, Bulleit Whiskey, The California Lottery, Coca-Cola, Target, BMW, Acura, Sephora, Virgin Mobile, Kaiser Permanente, Idorsia, Absolut Vodka, and many more.
